Alison Kartevold is an award-winning journalist with a career that has spanned two and a half decades and five countries. She has made documentaries for PBS and worked as a producer and reporter for Network News outlets such as NBC, ABC, and CBS. Now her taste for adventure and love of family has taken her to a whole new world. KenKarta: Battle of the Onoxmon began as a personalized fairytale for her two young daughters. Veronica and Sophia helped create characters and plot ideas that their mom molded into this, her first novel.

Alison was born and raised in the Northwest, but has lived in seven different states from coast to coast. She currently lives with her husband and daughters in Pittsburgh.
